Canadian Cochin Club is a community organization bringing together Malayali families whose roots trace to Ernakulam and Kochi, Kerala, and who now call Canada home. Built around shared traditions, childhood memories, and lasting friendships, our association creates a welcoming home away from home across generations.

Canadian Cochin Club (CCC) is a not-for-profit organization with its members who traditionally have their roots from the Ernakulam district (fondly known as Kochi), Kerala, and currently reside in Canada.
CCC events aim to create an ambiance of togetherness amongst its members through continuous efforts, by connecting families and friends from the same home town.
Built around a shared hometown connection, CCC creates opportunities for people and families to reconnect, celebrate their heritage, and build lasting friendships.
Our events bring together members of the community through cultural celebrations, entertainment, family activities, and social gatherings across Canada.
Why Our Hometown Connection Matters
Kochi, also known as Cochin, is a major port city on the south-west coast of India, bordering the Laccadive Sea. It is part of the district of Ernakulam in the state of Kerala. Kochi is the most densely populated city in Kerala, with a total urban population of more than 2.1 million within an area of 440 km², making it the largest and most populous metropolitan area in Kerala. Kochi city is also part of the Greater Cochin region and is classified as a Tier-II city by the Government of India.
For those of us who have made Canada our new home, our connection to Ernakulam is more than a place on a map—it is the childhood streets, the waterfront sunsets, the shared culinary flavors, the distinct local Malayalam slang, and the warm hospitality unique to Cochin. Canadian Cochin Club exists to preserve this bond so that neither distance nor time dims the vibrant spirit of our hometown.
